WET FRED facilitates the application of large cell culture supernatant or lysate volumes to gravity flow columns. It relies on hydrostatic pressure (the siphon principle) and connects the gravity flow column with the bottle containing the lysare or buffer. With the WET FRED connected, the set up does not require supervision during application, as the last drop filter prevents the column from running dry. Its small size and flexibility make it suitable for benchtop use, cold rooms, and refrigerators. After every use the WET FRED should be carefully cleaned.
