N-Allyl-(±)-SKF 38393 is a dopamine D receptor partial agonist. It is selective for dopamine D over D receptors in radioligand binding assays (Ks = 302 and 5,250 nM, respectively). N-Allyl-(±)-SKF 38393 reduces food intake in rats (ED = 3.6 mg/kg). It reduces cocaine and food self-administration in squirrel monkeys when administered at doses ranging from 0.1 to 10mg/kg.
