Description An ionophore-like polyether isolated from marine dinoflagellate

Prorocentrum lima. Implicated as causative agent of diarrhetic

shellfish poisoning. Potent inhibitor of protein phosphatase type 1

(PP1) and protein phosphatase type 2A (PP2A). Useful for the

study of protein phosphatases in cell extracts as well as intact

cells.
